How does your shipping work?

Shipping costs are included in our cigar prices, but shipping is additional for humidors and accessories (you will see a shipping cost during checkout and you can decide if you want to continue).

We take great care in protecting the box and the cigars for you during shipping. They will be sent Air Mail Priority and our delivery times average 7-21 working days. Unfortunately we cannot ship to AFO/FPO boxes.

  • If your order is confiscated, we will replace it!
  • In the rare instance your order doesn’t arrive and another needs to be shipped, the original order is our property so please let us know if it arrives and we will reimburse you for return postage back to us.

PLEASE NOTE: You are responsible for any and all customs, tariffs, duties, value added tax (VAT) and/or other fees imposed by local authorities for overseas orders and they are not included in your shipping charges. If you decide to refuse the shipment, we will need to deduct any fees and additional shipping charges that we incur from your refund. Please check with your local customs office prior to placing your order if you have any questions about local customs, tariffs, or duties etc.

Why are Merchant Cigar prices so low?

We’ve done everything possible to offer you high quality cigars at the lowest prices available. Most retailers have to pay import duty and don’t bother to go through the difficult and time consuming process to recover these import levy and instead pass them on to you. Since we do not retail to the general public and our products are solely for export, we are considered a ‘duty free zone’ where we are able to export our cigars without paying import duty and pass those considerable savings on to you instead.

Does ‘duty free’ mean I don’t need to pay import tax?

No. We sell to all corners of the globe but unfortunately we do not have any control over foreign government agencies and cannot advise you on what, if any, duties might be levied in your particular country. We find that it varies greatly but any duties incurred will be your responsibility to pay. (‘Duty free’ means that unlike most retailers, since we do not have to pay import duty, we can pass those savings on to you.)
